My Reality
My reality
Does not define me.
Nor does it dictate to me
What I believe about myself,
Nor what I am able or unable to do,
Or capable or not capable of being.
Rather, my reality supports me
As I walk through myself.
Actually, the truth is
I create my reality
To walk through myself.
Thus is my reality
An outward manifestation
Of what is within.
What is in the physical
Does not make it so;
But what is so
Is what is in the physical.
If I fail to recognise and acknowledge,
And if I fail to own this simple truth,
Like a needle
Caught on a damaged record
Will my life be,
Playing the same song
Over and over again.
